Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Alessandra Ambrosio keep it sultry and simple for AmfAR.
Before hitting the AmfAR gala last night in L.A., Gwyneth Paltrow posted a pic to Instagram (with a caption that read, “I don’t pop [pills] I rock Tom Ford”) that showed off her center-parted pony and black TF tux that boasted a sultry cutout in back. It was the first of many about-face shots and low ponytails we’d see later on the red carpet.
Rihanna also arrived wearing the designer ( Ford was honored at the evening event) and a smooth tail tied at the nape, albeit her ensemble was a bit breezier — her gown dipped low at the rear and slit high in the front, with the pièce de résistance being the purple paillettes that shielded her nipples. Alessandra Ambrosio accented her Zuhair Murad gown with (what else?) a basic ponytail divided down the middle to focus the attention on the sexy, flesh-colored panels. The beauty takeaway: If the action is in the back, keep your strands sleek and simple, then try your hand at the trusted celebrity side-turn.
